Master Smart Money Concepts
Professional trading education from institutional perspective
Module 1: Order Blocks
What are Order Blocks?
Order blocks are areas where institutional traders have placed large buy or sell orders. These zones act as strong support and resistance levels.
Identifying Order Blocks
- Look for strong impulse moves
- Find the last candle before the impulse
- Mark the high and low of that candle
- This becomes your order block zone
Trading Order Blocks
Entry Strategy:
1. Wait for price to return to order block
2. Look for confirmation (rejection wick)
3. Enter on retest with tight stop loss
4. Target next liquidity level
Module 2: Liquidity Concepts
Understanding Liquidity
Liquidity refers to areas where stop losses cluster. Institutions hunt these areas before making their real moves in the opposite direction.
Types of Liquidity
- Buy Side Liquidity: Above swing highs
- Sell Side Liquidity: Below swing lows
- Internal Liquidity: Between ranges
- External Liquidity: Outside ranges
Liquidity Sweeps
How Institutions Hunt Stops:
1. Identify obvious support/resistance
2. Push price through these levels
3. Trigger retail stop losses
4. Reverse in opposite direction
Module 3: Market Structure
Break of Structure (BOS)
When price breaks a previous significant high or low, indicating trend continuation.
Change of Character (CHOCH)
When market structure shifts, indicating potential trend reversal or consolidation phase.
Market Structure Analysis
Key Points:
• Higher highs + higher lows = Uptrend
• Lower highs + lower lows = Downtrend
• Mixed structure = Consolidation
• Structure breaks = Trend changes
Module 4: Institutional Psychology
How Institutions Think
Banks and hedge funds need liquidity to fill large orders. They manipulate price to create optimal entry conditions.
The Smart Money Cycle
- Accumulation in ranges
- Manipulation of retail traders
- Distribution at optimal prices
- Repeat the cycle
